It comes off like they don't actually like the medium or if an opinion is out of the norm, that it's automatically wrong or dumb.

What a fantastic tight fight that just keeps sprawling open at everyturn! Music pumping and monsters infighting a Spider Mastermind and Cybie! I enjoy the two cubbies where you choose between health or armor pickups. Just run and gun!

It's like, yeah, other people get different experiences from things and may have different tastes.
As long as I can understand why someone came to that conclusion, I have no major gripes, even if I disagree.

The GZDOOM kerfuffle will be interesting to see develope, especially with all the fantastic indie games coming out on it.

If there is a mass migration, I can only hope the transfer is a smooth one. Especially for the game devs.

I mostly agree with you though. I feel if the devs encourage it, I can't really be too mad. Not that I was.
It's a powerful game and having the message watered down can "taint" the experience so to say. So I get it.

Merch that misses the point is not a new thing to me. Neither is a fandom watering down a point, if they even engaged with the thing to begin with.
I do feel that getting upset doesn't do much for the conversation though. Letting your thoughts be heard so that others don't miss the point can help.

LA Noir as it's one of the few games I've played in my adult life that I actively disliked.
Playing the Ace Attorney Trilogy for the 1st time after felt like a ray of sunshine as it out does most of everything LA Noir tried to do.

#PortfolioDay Hi all, I'm Mizusei; I mostly do art as a hobby, and I enjoy drawing dragons and kobolds for the most part. Every weapon is a trap. Just assume that getting a better weapons comes at a price. Just remember to always prioritize the Arch-viles. They're there to make you panic, but rocket spam at a safe distance will take care of them and their meat shields.

Multiple choice is always a fun way to trick you into thinking there's a correct choice. I prefer to think of it like a loop. Sometimes your need to run in circles to stir the pot.

We get choices in our approach here that makes another section easier. I'm a fan. The plasma rifle may be tempting to make encounters easier, but hold out until you get the BFG and you can really clean house with the last few sections. Cybie go boom on mobs.
