An Executive minister inciting criminal arson in the name of racial harassment is what the North of Ireland has become. Glad to see he’s referred to the Standards Commissioner.

Yes. Maybe it’s time to use the big words that the DoJ would never want to use. Let’s consider the possibility that organised crime with a racial hate component meant at creating a hostile environment affecting human rights policy would indeed be terrorism. Imagine! What would this look like? 🧵
Given the evidenced involvement of proscribed armed terror groups in the recent racist violence, intimidations and pogroms, is Gordon Lyons being investigated for releasing information likely to be of use to terrorism? This isn't just a standards matter.

I’m the type of person who if they get nice service in a shop I send an email to the people they work for. Today Nina in boots at sprucefield made my day with her make up recs so I emailed Boots to tell them she is great. It’s the Irish mammy in me even tho I’m not a mammy haha

Delivering training this morning and something I think all the time and say is “this should hurt, this work obviously hurts if it doesn’t who are we? What are we doing?” Also something else I say is “if you don’t actually like young people you need to evaluate your career”

I know there is so much 💩 in the world today but my goat died today and I’m so devastated. I along with the beautiful community at Origin loved Bart. He was the sweetest, chunkiest little melter. He was saved from certain death as he was on track to be meat. Thankful for 7 years with him.

Great session with some young women at Forthspring tonight. I had to listen to my hype mix on the way there as this was my 3rd night in a row working and the rest of the week had been challenging conversations around trafficking. Tonight was a wonderful conversation and learning space.

Attended the human rights review of children and young people and policing launch by the Policing board. Some of the recommendations are very interesting esp those concern #CCE and the #NRM happy to have a conversation with anyone to explain what exploitation and human trafficking looks like here.

I’m over trivial issues getting in the way of the work and I’m over being polite. Our politicians need to stand up for us and call this out! This isn’t the peace we were promised. This isn’t what living in peacetime looks like. Young people should not be getting shot on our streets! #stopattacks

The peace to which we are entitled and the peace members of our institutions are talking about do not align. And for as long as there will be no structural and systemic response to this, the gap will continue to widen.

This isn't the peace we were promised. This isn't what living in peacetime looks like. This is normalised violence met with the shrug from a society who are traumatised.

Also wtf is the psni at with the heavy handed response to peaceful process. I had a group in Derry last night came home and viewed horrendous footage online. This cannot go without challenge.

The fight against human trafficking looks like 12 year old boys telling you about being sextorted. It looks like the 13 year old forced to deal drugs & taking drugs to deal with the trauma. It’s hard and horrendous and so worthwhile. Thankful to spend everyday fighting to keep young people safe.

The fight against human trafficking isn’t always dark and gloomy some days you gotta just let the young people record a TikTok dance after they have really accurately displayed befriend, control, abuse in a dramatic (hilarious) skit.
