Mt. Oliver. 240 Hayes Ave - Family Dollar. Mt. Oliver PD got a call for a motion detector alarm and the supervisor said that was store was shut down because of rats. He assumes it’s just them.

It’s a much more compelling argument when you look at the low-level bureaucrat salaries compared to an equivalent professional in consulting, finance, or tech

Meet Shakira. Ten years ago, she was living in a shelter with her three kids, working at a non-union hotel.

Now she's a member of HTC.

Unions are how working people can build a dignified life. But in a city as expensive as ours, they need local government on their side.

Ok this one is good though: “The only reason I still visit X is because all of the Pittsburgh sports reporters are too racist to move to BlueSky.”

The “potential” savings mentioned amount to less than 0.03% of the city budget. I get it’s important to be thrifty in this environment, but I prefer my trash in the landfill and not on my curb

More units are needed, and we can’t sacrifice new builds to the developers who will continue to make financial products from them. “Ruin their investment” doesn’t mean “give developers our open wallets,” rather it’s the govt that should be stepping in here to build and better control subsidy

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The government should build housing but good this time (not bad)

really feels like housing affordability is one of the most important political issues of our time, affecting nearly every aspect of our lives, and everyday our mainstream political discourse is about whether sour cream is woke or not

Other cities: “We have a housing crisis. We’ve tried inclusionary zoning. We’ve tried land banks. What if we just taxed the rich and built housing with the money?”

Pittsburgh: “developers, here’s my wallet. my social security number is in there too if you want it”

I think a nice lotion will solve all men’s problems
My girlfriend said she can’t use her expensive face lotion anymore so I started using it and my life is changed. I shaved without nicks for the first time, like, ever. My skin is literally shining. Moisture barrier goes crazy

Meet Pirates prospect Iverson Allen.

He goes by "The Question," loves practice, and models his game after the Sixers great.

Allen's father was a PG for Panama's national team. He named his son after his favorite player.

Pirates prospect Iverson Allen goes by ‘The Question,’ loves practice, and models his game after the Sixers legend
The outfielder from Panama is only 17 but sees some similarities to the basketball Hall of Famer. He plays baseball with a comparable swagger.
