I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Yesterday the UK told the UN it remains a "steadfast supporter" of the ICJ.

In fact the UK has refused to respond to the ICJ's opinion, delivered 15 months ago, calling on states to stop aiding Israel’s illegal occupation.

From the FT:
“UK consumers have curbed spending more than anywhere else in the G7 since the pandemic…
Since the start of the Covid pandemic in 2020, UK household spending has risen just 1 per cent in real terms and fallen 3 per cent on a per capita basis.”

She was arrested for holding a sign reading:

“I do not support the proscription of Palestine Action”

How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law they’ve been forced to enforce.

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

@theguardian.com Why are we not hearing more about this news? No morals. Best to hope the ICC finds Netanyahu guilty of genocide then the Labour Govt can stop this BS. It does explain some of their hardcore anti-protest rulings.
