Ominous Halloween Zoom update
I'm sorry to read that you have had to take such a difficult decision, and wish you all the best the future. Although the rest of the world is by no means perfect, you can look forward to being treated much more like a valued human being once more than you have been (by your own account) in the US.

Good designs and happy memories from when I worked on local projects in the Swiss Jungfrau Region.
New gallery added to my website, which is appropriate for this time of year: the wonderful experience of being above the clouds when there is a cloud inversion filling the valley. permanenttourist.ch/photography/...
Cloud inversions
The right weather conditions lead to a cloud inversion, where moist air fills valleys and leaves higher ground above the cloud.

I'm sorry but making content images semi-transparent / reducing their opacity in dark mode is not an inclusive design strategy. It makes the images less accessible—which is more problematic when the images contain text. & the fact that they need to be hovered to become fully visible makes it worse.
Jeepers. We get some dramatic stuff over here in the Alps in winter, but this image is something else. 😍

Cleeve Hill also looks lovely!

Most of the time, I think my photography has come on in leaps and bounds. Then, I see one of my photos from long ago, and am surprised just how good it is. These are the vineyards I've been photographing for over 20 years, as it was on a cold night in October 20 years ago.
