This is how you apologize.
You need to admit you were wrong, identify why you were wrong, and then submit how you plan to avoid being wrong in the future.
Vague hand-waving, or confronting people trying to hold you to account (like MTG on 60 Minutes last night) are easy ways to spot a charlatan.

Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

Controversially, I don't think that if social media had existed that Montgomery could have lasted as long as it did. Bad actors and human nature would have spread negativity, trafficked in gossip, and torn down the leaders in ways that they could not do in 1955/56.

To each their own but hard disagree here.
All I want is a pared-down keyboard that has no programs on it. It’s 19’’ and feels great to type on.
I’m not worried about it getting stolen or broken when I transport it around.
For me, it’s basically all I need to work: my weapon of choice.

The chromebook might be the worst invention that doesn't contain any major poisons. We made a laptop that you can only watch youtube videos on and if you touch it you have to go the burn ward. Every five year old has to have one

Not a criticism of this (excellent!) thread, or Casten in particular, but I do think Democrats need to start laying out clear, definitive and escalatory steps they plan to take in response if/when SCOTUS goes through with this.

They are running the government according to the logic of right-wing grievance media. I cannot emphasize that enough. The point is to create content, and they don't see an actual difference between dunking on Sabrina Carpenter, passing legislation, and bombing other countries.
I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.

Transphobia is a luxury belief. Yes, ordinary people are often ambiently transphobic, but they have bigger things to worry about. The true believers are wealthy, powerful, influential, and face no real hardship that would force them to prioritize issues that affect them.
