Dozens of union members and community allies delivered powerful testimony about skyrocketing costs, rising District revenues, and the urgent need for fair wages. As AFSCME 829 President Joseph Puckett said "in this fight we are not three unions, we are one big union."

The Board tried to silence workers. Solidarity won. Last night, Peninsula DSA stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our comrades in AFT 1493, CSEA 33, and AFSCME 829 as they packed the SMCCD Board meeting to demand fair contracts.
