It's International Owl Awareness Day!

Lots of bog owls (AKA short-eared owls) live around us. Last year a group of 7 or 8 of them flew up from the road ahead of us. And then this happened...
Innit! One of the things that made us fall in love with this place.
Can almost see Slit from our bedroom window, it's down... there!

Changing Landscapes Zine
Changing Landscapes – Ruins of the North Pennines is my second zine, following on from Transporter. For those who don’t know, a zine is a mini magazine, usually focused on one subject, and it…

Ordered! I spy several places (Groverake, Slit Mine, Sikehead, ...) within walking distance of our house.
This still makes more sense than ever other "American makes cup of tea" video I've ever seen.
This is incredible
Last time I was there (25+ years ago), we were in a box, throwing rolls at the people below. I'm not proud. Mind you, the only alternative was to watch the cricket 😉

well actually since a saber is traditionally curved and the “blade” is of a finite length the more accurate name would be a plasma tulwar so based on my mastery of Lore everyone else is a drooling fool
I have a book stall today at Weardale Wordfest at St Thomas Church Hall in Stanhope, 10:30 to 3:30. Come visit!
