Do people not see the similarities? We have gone full horseshoe. I expect it of Republicans, but even after two years of this I cannot believe that people who claim to support human rights can't find a way to talk about them without dehumanizing people.

Someone just reminded me that a bakery in my childhood neighborhood gave out gun-shaped cookies with sprinkles to kids waiting on line, which reminds me, just before my mother's yahrzeit, that my mother complained about this practice and asked them to give my brother a round cookie instead, bc 1968.

Ditto Trump. The attacks on him for wearing diapers really bothered me. My mother had multiple sclerosis and people who need that kind of aid don't need to be mocked when they are 1000x braver than people who don't need it.

My super repaired the ceiling in my bedroom, which has had a not-at-all rabbit-like enormous bulging crack right over the bed for some time, and he promised to dropcloth the dickens out of everything but did not, there's white dust everywhere. Rats. But the repair looks good!

The release of the hostages brought back a lot of anger about the lack of empathy I saw then, even as I see and grieve and feel anger as the Palestinians return to rubble and their reunions are suppressed and their losses are unimaginably greater.

I see the "no Zionists" as an unnecessary flattening of all Zionism into one. And you may (?) have seen how I was eaten for breakfast for responding to the original post differently from the way you did, although I agree -- the encampments were not one thing.

This is true — but the 10/7 was legitimate/there are no civilians/keeping anti-occupation but not anti-Zionist Jews out of progressive spaces/don‘t mourn Israelis people were loud. And they still should be protected against our hideous government.
