How is this not as bad or worse than MAGA's issues with Hunter Biden? How is this not as corrupt as they claimed Hunter's job arrangements were?

Vice President JD Vance on Sunday said there will be deeper cuts to the federal workforce the longer the government shutdown goes on, adding to the uncertainty facing hundreds of thousands who are already furloughed without pay amid the stalemate in Congress.

Trump just said aboard Air Force 1 that he was the apple of Putin's eye. Truest thing he has ever said.

US Constitution is still the Supreme Law.
The First Amendment is a part of the U.S. Bill of Rights that protects fundamental rights from government interference, including freedom of religion, speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the government.

My opponent voted against protecting the right to buy birth control.

Virginia, as Governor, I will sign the Right to Contraception Act into law.

“CDC is over. It was killed. This administration only knows how to break things. They have made America at risk for outbreaks and attacks by nefarious players. People should be scared,” said Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, former director of the CDC’s National Center on Immunization and Respiratory Diseases

The "plaintiffs" seeking to dismantle the Voting Rights Act (in a case this week at SCOTUS) include:

-a member of the "Trumpettes," a group of women who ardently support for the president
-a retiree who said he didn’t remember signing up to be involved in a lawsuit.

www.nytimes.com/2025/10/12/u...
One woman made national news when she protested the Covid-19 vaccine at her local City Council. Another is a member of the Trumpettes, a group of women united in their ardent support for the president. A third is a retired grocery salesman who said he didn’t remember signing up to be involved in a lawsuit.

The three are among the 12 Louisiana voters at the center of a case set to be heard by the Supreme Court on Wednesday that could gut what remains of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the landmark civil-rights-era legislation.

In January 2024, the group filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Louisiana’s congressional district map, arguing state lawmakers had discriminated against them as white voters by impermissibly taking race into account when they drafted the map after the 2020 census.

Since then, they’ve been referred to in court filings merely as the “non-African-American” voters.

Hey @jaketapper.bsky.social, I'm no expert on cognitive illnesses, but it feels a bit detached from reality for a sitting POTUS to forget that he was in power during an attack on the U.S. Capitol, doesn't it? Do you know anyone in journalism with experience covering dementia-like symptoms?

Trump's tariffs, phony "emergencies," etc. are also flagrantly illegal - again, the media doesn't mention that fact in its headlines, framing, etc. bluevirginia.us/2025/10/satu... h/t @ok-post-guy.bsky.social
"The okayest poster there is" notes that media headlines do NOT mention the fact that Trump's/Vought's layoffs are "flagrantly against the law"

Gutted the CDC again, leaving the federal government nearly powerless to respond to public health emergencies; invented the fiction that "antifa" is an organization, with a "founder" whose "girlfriend" they "arrested"; and House Repubs continue to move heaven and earth to protect Trump's pedo bros

Trump is gutting the CDC on the fifth anniversary of falsely claiming one #covid_19 infection may grant permanent immunity.

A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can't get it (immune), and can't give it.
Very nice to know!!!
11:39 AM • 10/11/20 Trump also claimed immunity in an interview on Fox News where he said he believes he will be immune for "maybe a long time, maybe a short time, could be a lifetime," noting it's unclear how much immunity previously infected individuals can expect after recovering.
Some crucial context: There is no evidence that people are immune if they have been infected once and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention specifically cautions people not to assume they are immune. POLITICO
