My dad was a life long conservative Republican. I was weaned on Firing Line and William F Buckley Jr who inspired my love of the English language. It wasn’t until Bush’s terms that I questioned political ideology.

My dad would be so angry at how his beloved party morphed into an abomination.

I live in a red state too—Idaho. One benefit of that is there are no masked ICE or Nat’l Guard here to point guns at us this coming Saturday when we turn out in pretty big numbers for No Kings Day.

We have to face the reality that there are humans among us who are evil to the core and will take great pleasure in not only destroying our democracy in order to gain power, but they will relish torturing, imprisoning and ultimately murdering anyone who doesn’t align with their evil ideology.

These are Charlie Kirk’s offspring.

Make no mistake about that. Kirk may have been smarter than these creeps by not explicitly expressing his racism and hatred of nonwhites and Democrats/Liberals in posts but he was a role model for these creeps. As is Hegseth, Miller, Vance and, of course, Trump.

Haggard. He looks unwell in every photo and video. He can barely keep his eyes open.

Just to be clear — There are many 79 year old men who are healthy, vigorous and mentally sharp.

He is none of that — but he was sick in his 30s, 40s and on. Age doesn’t always equal decrepitude.
