A work colleague showed me the liberal voting preferences last night and said that was what they were voting because the liberals promised to build a basketball stadium in our town. Others said it would be nice to access super because housing is so expensive. At least I got to set them straight 😂

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

You don't just get to *have* a leftwing ecosystem out of nowhere; you have to facilitate it. The right has spent years doing it. They ONLY give interviews & news to rightwing outlets. The left doesn't even come close to doing that.
