Only four years jail and a 2 yr driving ban when released. So much for stiffer sentences for those who kill.
His only redeeming point was that he stopped.
Should be a life driving ban for him.
Shows that it doesn't matter what anyone does, it's all down to the driver.

DOH! DOH! DOH!

Oh for heaven’s sake!!!

The Brexit impact has been spelt out from day one, but this damn fool government chose to ignore it and condemned us to live with hard Brexit.
We’re poorer, the cost of living has gone stratospheric, we’re drowning in Brexit embuggerances and tax revenue…

And if you’re wondering who Labour is listening to? “Reeves boasted she hatched plan to rip down our nature protections over a “smoked salmon & scrambled eggs breakfast” with corporate lobbyists”. While Starmer’s resolve to kick down planning rules are result of his “conversations with leading CEOs”
Wage war on nature to build new homes: that’s Labour’s offer, but it’s a con trick | George Monbiot
The government’s new planning bill is tearing down environmental protections to benefit developers. This nation of nature lovers won’t stand for it, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Caroline Lucas is wondering why Michelle Mone is still a member of the House of Lords

And most of us are wondering the same as well!

But if Mone is going to be removed from the Lords, there are others too who fail to meet the standard and should be removed as well

They lie about the ECHR.
Just like they lied about Brexit. Claiming if we just got rid of that ‘European’ thing, we’d be free, we’d have control, all our problems solved…
It’s NOT TRUE.
We’d inflict more chaos on ourselves and torch our own human rights framework for NOTHING.
For liars.
Again.
The European Convention on Human Rights is being misrepresented in the UK, says former Supreme Court President Lady Hale👇

Starmer and Reeves are expected to argue that if it hadn’t been for Brexit, the economy would be about £120bn bigger by 2035 than current forecasts suggest it will be.

So, hopefully, we are about to see some honesty about the damage Brexit has inflicted.

STARMER’S LABOUR IS IN THE SHIT!

It’s a measure of its desperation that it’s had to mention Brexit, the forbidden word, not because of the enormous damage Brexit’s done and is doing, but because it wants to blame Farage’s Brexit for the small boats.

STARMER YOU’RE AN OBSTINATE SOD!

We’ve lost £40 billion in tax revenues

In 2025, average UK households are between £4,000-£6,000/year worse off.

Investment is £29 billion lower

Output is 5% smaller, that’s £140 billion a year.

AND ALL BECAUSE OF BREXIT!

GET IT UNDONE!

The curse of Thatcherism was not just greed. It was short-termism disguised as freedom. Privatisation made millionaires from share prices and dividends, while leaving millions in cold, costly poverty. A quarter of every bill now feeds profit, not service.

“If you get hit by a car travelling at 50km/h, you’ve only got a 1.5-in-10 chance of surviving. If it’s going 30km/h you’ve got a nine-in-10 chance.”

“But it was not enough to put up a sign that says 30km/h…there also needed to be design changes to slow down traffic.”

Speed is always a factor.
Switching 50km/h speed limits to 30km/h would protect cyclists while barely affecting commutes, research finds
One expert says a cyclist hit by a car travelling 50km/h has about a one-in-10 chance of surviving, while at 30km/h it is a nine-in-10 chance

Brexit is Farage and his fellow Brexiters' shitstorm to own. He/they can't be allowed to just pivot from heckle to heckle and bad idea to worse - while blaming everyone else - without consequences.

So the suggestion that Labour are going to amplify that truth is to be welcomed.

We have got no money in UK because all our Govts' have handed out crony contracts and to US equity companies, let bankers pay no tax on their bonuses. Let companies in Freeports pay no customs and excise tax too. Let Black Rock advise them on how we need to pay instead. Brexit has contributed too.
