Above my pay grade, I'm afraid!
Good doorknocking session in Dennistoun with Cllr McDougall.

Nice to have such positive feedback on the work we've done to help people in the community and a few more issues were raised about private factors.

The Buffalo Bill statue marks the spot where he performed in 1891! 🦬

“We need to be aware of the long term prospects for our nation, and build a system of politics in this country that reflects the structural, progressive majority that truly exists in this country.”

200 years ago today, the first passenger train ran between Stockton and Darlington.

Six years later, Scotland’s first railway service began on the Garnkirk & Glasgow Railway.

It passed through Springburn, which soon became the world's biggest centre of locomotive manufacturing.

I've written about the committee hearing on my Substack:

Support from @patrickharvie.bsky.social and @paulsweeney.bsky.social on the day was hugely appreciated, if only their colleagues on the committee could share their ambition.

Scottish Parliament Motion S6M-18475 submitted by Mark Griffin MSP, Scottish Labour, Wednesday 6th August 2025. Supported by Paul Sweeney MSP

Kevin Kane - Shared Parenting Scotland Chief Executive

“We are grateful to Mark Griffin MSP for lodging this important motion in the Scottish Parliament and for recognising the breadth of Shared Parenting Scotland’s work in supporting mothers, fathers, and grandparents, including veterans and serving personnel, through our helpline and at group meetings across the country.”

Mark Downie - Shared Parenting Scotland Veterans Manager

“I’m delighted that Mark Griffin MSP has lodged this motion recognising our work, particularly with military families. As a charity we recognise that military personnel often spend long periods away from home and that the emotional effect of this can be heightened upon returning home if they are unable to see their children.

We actively work alongside other veterans’ organisations to ensure that our military families are supported at these times to allow them to make the best amicable arrangements for their children.

We’re proud to be able to offer free participation to our New Ways For Families and Love Loss & Living courses to help support those who serve or have served”
No, you're just tedious. There are no arms deals with Israel.
