This is what we keep seeing- and keep saying- at Citizens Advice. Was in Durham today speaking to debt advisors and no one there thought the cost of living crisis had ended.

“I think politicians are ignoring prices and bills and hoping we’ll forget about them and find something else to complain about…”

My report on how the flighty Westminster bubble forgot about the cost-of-living crisis, which certainly isn't over:
Energy bills rise while Westminster talks immigration
Why have our politicians forgotten about the cost-of-living crisis?

Just searched for "Good Boy" to see what other people thought about the movie. The top post was more like something I'd have expected from Plainclothes, ooo er missus 😵

Good Boy at Rio Cinema. Not being a dog lover, can't say it knocked me out but would give it solid six out of ten and have to admit, the main character was very good ie the dog 🐶

Many years ago, I got told I couldn't do English A level because I'd not studied English Lit at O level (because no bastard told me I needed to).

I'd got an A at O level English (my best grade overall) and it bugs me to this day.

WTF is going on with the BBC coverage of this story.

The court did not hear it was unlawful. His lawyer claimed it was unlawful. The prosecution said it was imperfect but lawful.

This headline implies undisputed fact.

Important to note you can get extra year's extension for Windows 10 pretty easily, I managed it on our home laptop on the weekend.

We've just run a webinar on hospital discharge this a.m. and this is one of our key points to understand. Whilst a lot of NHS policy is contained in national guidelines etc, there are huge local variations in how services are actually delivered. Makes it very difficult to consistently advise upon.

Fair enough, just wasn't for me. We can't all like everything.

Love it. Left critical review of a movie, someone I don't know reposted my post two days later. Immediately blocked by four people I've never heard of. Don't you love social media... 😜

Yes, I've found this to be a very good strategy when I'm watching something that I'm not enjoying in the slightest. You should try it.

Plainclothes at the Rio tonight. What a moving portrayal of coming out in an atmosphere of lies and deceit and deception, slightly quirky but all the better for it. Shed a small tear at the end.

Who knows, feels like all the chat about how it was filmed, on what film stock etc masks the fact it's not that good?
paulietandoori.bsky.social
Yes, I woke up annoyed about it too. Also seen Urchin and The Severed Sun this week which were both very good, and the latter in particular was much more political than last night's effort.

We left after hour and a half, thought it was a dreadful movie
paulietandoori.bsky.social
We went to watch it last night and left after hour and a half. Very disappointing.

This is the best review of the score of One Fight After Another, the most mono tonal bore off you've ever heard.
I'll start with the only redeeming quality of the movie. The acting is fantastic which is no surprise due to the stellar cast. Unfortunately the story is uninteresting to a point that I didn't even care how it ended or what happened to the main characters. The worst aspect of the movie is the score. I typically don't think about the music in the background but the music in this movie made me want to walk out of the theater. At times, it sounds like kids banging on a keyboard

One Bore After Another. Walked out with an hour to go, it was that rubbish.

Well done the Robins, very well deserved and hard fought win.
