Hurricane Melissa makes a second landfall on #Cuba as a Cat 3 hurricane with a max sustained wind of 120 mph. Cuba will help to weaken Melissa before it emerges the island and moves into the Bahamas, but there will be extreme damage along its path through Cuba. #TrackingTheTropics #melissa

Hurricane #melissa is now tied with the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 as the 3rd strongest hurricane on record for the Atlantic Basin with a central pressure of 892 mb. The sustained wind is now up to 185 mph. Landfall and destruction is imminent. God speed Jamaica. #Jamaica
