It’s super cool to find #printmaking friends here (something I never really did on twitter!) My name is Alexis, and I’m a printmaker and illustrator specializing in relief prints. I live just outside of Washington DC with my husband Ben and our two black cats, Lumi and Sully.

Winter storm has passed and the night is quiet and blanketed in snow. Made chicken soup, popcorn with extra butter and homemade hot chocolate. Been checking for my stray cat fam (aka "the oranges") all day; finally saw one of them in the snowy moonlight, emerging from the shelter I put out for them.

I know there are a lot of problems in the world, but my heart breaks a little every time I see another artist finally succumb to using AI.

Been printing a lot of new things in prep for a shop update. Death’s head hawk moths on purple rag paper, new editions of my claddagh and magnolia hand prints. Lots of other things I haven’t photographed yet. Gravitating toward shades of green and “pretty things” for this year.

Did some test prints for Valentine’s garlands on glitter card stock. Going to see how long it takes for the ink to dry down, but it sure does look rad.

My favorite thing about looking at almost any website on a phone in the year 2026 is that the page will randomly stop loading because of all the ads on it and then you can never finish reading whatever it was you were looking at. #maketheinternetusableagain
