There are so many rescue dogs from overseas nowadays that today when we said our dog is a rescue we were asked "what country is she from?". We said "Bristol".

I'm redesigning my home network. Lots of temporary UTP cables (not all the correct colour but the correct length), one cable on order (in red, which is correct for its intended purpose), a lot of head scratching and a load of WiFi and power line gear which may or may not be heading for recycling.

@itvmlshow.bsky.social Got car insurance renewal this week at £143 more than 2024. Selecting "I'm thinking of leaving" on website produced an automated £60 discount. Quick comparison site check (not yours) and I've saved £170 with another insurer with the same terms. Absolutely ridiculous.

@itvmlshow.bsky.social regards HMRC, you didn't mention people with multiple incomes who go over the 40% threshold but aren't asked to do a Self Assessment. That can result in a lot of underpaid or overpaid tax.

@martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com #MartinLewis Virgin Media wouldn't negotiate on my broadband renewal so I cancelled. After a few days they called me but couldn't improve. A few days later, I got a call from a different department who offered a renewal with no increase. I said ok.
