My most deranged hack? If I can't find a hand reference, I will do a hand turkey right against my screen.

on a table from right to left are positioned an oval form the size of a face, covered in foil and placed on a cutting mat, a drawing of a seemingly angry pig, and paper mache in a bucket. a comparison between the initial drawing of a pig and its sculpture counterpart in paper mache (without ears, teeth and colours for now) side view of said sculpture to better understand the depth of the mouth and the prominence of the snout. still no colours, ears or teeth.

I haven't gotten to do much character design in my career so far, so it was quite fun to get to design a bunch of the NPCs who call Spirit Crossing home.

One thing you learn is that sometimes after 20 different hairstyles, your original plan was not too bad after all

didn't posted it btw but I finished it ! I ended up not cutting the pages to uniform it as I really like how it feels in hand, and the texture on the cover is perfect! the pig-bookmark isn't attached yet but I finally found the perfect yarn for that job :)
