There was a report about after authoritarian rule, when governments shed their dictator, they are stronger and have more and better social programs. This is a perfect example of how and why this happens.

I think there would have to be a declared "shooting war against the left" specifically for this to happen. But I think the right is going to be very surprised if it does.

They're fascists. It's literally that simple. They hate the freedom to think different than them. It threatens them and makes them think they might be the wrong ones, so they lash out like toddlers. Or they're sociopaths who want to hurt people with impunity. Or both.

Well, the film definitely has a tone, and having met Landis, it's pretty much his tone, so not liking him and by extension his films, makes perfect sense. AAWiL also has a third act problem, so it's not a perfect film or anything. I'd say Dog Soldiers is a better werewolf film, as an aside.

Terrific film. Karloff is so slick and evil in this. I made it a priority to see any Lewton film they played on TCM, and I've never been disappointed.

You understand those are right-wing propaganda machines now, right? I see Dem-created media all the time, but its on YouTube and independent media platforms, not mainstream media. They aren't reporting on it.
