In the worst timeline. It's bad enough that so many places people used to RP and write ABDL erotica are gone, but with ChatGPT promising that industrialised slop smut just on the horizon, the situation is only going to get worse.

That's part of my reasoning too. Being poly and kinky has way more to do with it than being gay. It just took hearing someone group a bunch of things I am together and concluding "We should avoid all this queer stuff, lest society decides we don't deserve rights." for me to identify with the word 😅

Not all gay people are queer, but I'd happily take that label and stand in opposition to a gay man so shamelessly trying to abandon parts of the movement that won him his rights on the grounds that they're too queer.

Ironically it's made me feel like I could feel at home calling myself queer. The greatest success of Irish cultural liberalisation has been the state and broader society keeping their noses out of how individuals choose to live their lives. If you're not hurting anyone, why should anyone care?

He said that "queer" is also a term we should steer clear of because it represents a deviant and radical element in favour of more sexual liberation that could turn off moderates... polyamourous people and swingers should be disassociated with gay rights for the same reason. It made my skin crawl.

I just listened to a podcast where an Irish gay man advocated that gay people should split ourselves off from trans people and keep gay equality as unintrusive and quiet as possible to appease secular Irish moderates who could soon be outbred by immigrants from Muslim and North African countries.
