Irish curses

just found some Irish curses, wish I knew Gaelic to hear it in the original...

two:

Droch áird chúgat lá gaoithe: That you may be badly positioned on a windy day.

Mallacht mo chait ort: My cat’s curse upon you.

There are problems with my chimney. This roof can't be accessed via a ladder, and using a drone is probably faster and easier anyway.

Wow, the what? I'd never heard of Kirk before he was murdered, although what I've heard of his rhetoric seems exceptionally familiar from my younger days in the southwest USA. Ugh.
When I was placed on the Professor Watchlist in 2021, people sent death threats about my children. I had security officers monitor my 8yo at school.

Where is all the outrage for those of us who have been targeted for years? Where is the outrage for our families?

My own colleagues are silent.

I would call myself a professional pessimist and "extremely depressed about the future" but god, please stop going into people's mentions to tell them that the law/courts no longer matter or post "AND YOU'RE SURPRISED???" at them, especially so if they are actively engaged in making the world better
