Many of us aren’t working anymore, or have had to step away from our AHP roles.
Some are finding new ways to use their skills, often while managing their own health battles.

She is a GP but specialist in the menopause & #LongCovid & has done research into it. I see her privately. We've always been open that maybe it was reversible and they just needed some hormones to wake them up but we've agreed that scenario is getting less likely. Ugggghhhhh indeed! 🫂🫶

Felt overwhelming gratitude for the GP & realised why, it’s the first time in years I’ve gone to a GP/Dr, been believed instantly (because it’s visible), and given something that helped straightaway.
Pretty groundbreaking for me.

👁 Update: the antibiotic ointment worked really well, my eye’s no longer red or swollen. Still have a small bump (?chalazion) which can take months to go… great! Not painful now, just itchy, like there’s something in my eye.

It also just makes me so angry that I went to work one day, wasn’t protected, and now my body is utterly broken. My ability to have children most likely taken away.
If this happened in any other way, imagine the uproar, but somehow nobody cares.

Didn’t think I’d be having to deal with this in my 30s, another thing #covid has taken from me.
Wasn’t sure whether to share, as a bit embarassed, but I don’t see many people my age talking about it. So sharing in case it helps someone feel less alone

After ⬇️ my HRT recently (as we weren’t sure if I was benefiting from such a high dose), I’ve definitely felt worse, so we decided to ⬆️ again. Even after upping by the tiniest amount last night, I already feel a bit less of a poisoned zombie today.

A productive but tough appointment yesterday. After years on HRT hoping to reverse any damage from my work acquired COVID infection in 2020, it’s looking like early menopause is more likely. Not confirmed yet, but I think I need to start accepting it

Ouch! This arrived today & not sure whether to laugh or cry. I signed up when I turned 30, just 2 months before I became unwell in 2020. I’d planned to travel & go on walking holidays but never got the chance 💔 Grief 😭

👁 update: ended up speaking to GP yesterday as it got more swollen/red. He was great as always (shout out to my fave GP 🫶). Got antibiotic ointment & strict A&E instructions if it worsens/fever hits 😬🙏

In other news, yay!..another crash & migraine brewing
Pleased I don’t feel as awful now steroids are out my system. Weirdly, even though they totally wiped me out, steroids seemed to help my HRV 🤔
