We lost a battle, yes. But the fight isn't over. And no, trans kids don't need to be told it gets better. They DO need to see us fight for them. They need to know we won't give up on them.

The cruelty is horrendous and will affect adults too, but for any trans youth out there, I want you to know your elders are fighting for you. We wanted to leave you a world where you didn't have to fight, but our struggle is not new. We have and will always exist. I love you. #ProtectTransKids

Breaking: The Trevor Project received a stop-work order last night on its contract with the national 988 suicide prevention hotline. The Trump administration is eliminating the option for LGBTQ callers to the hotline to press 3 and connect with someone who specializes in LGBTQ mental health.

Reading:
Life may give you both sweet and sour at times. This isn't necessarily bad. They keep you balanced and provide a mature experience full of complexity to appreciate. Add a dash of spontaneity to the mix when you can. Life comes in seasons, and this is a time that may feel raw but fresh.

Side note: grated chocolate as a garnish is essentially fancy sprinkles. And I think sprinkles are the epitome of things adults have no appreciation for despite how much happier they would be with them in their lives. Slow down, have some sprinkles, and enjoy the simple pleasure of unnecessary fun.

This recipe has two steps: Combine the ingredients and let chill (three steps if you grate chocolate on for a garnish, which you should). And sometimes it really is that simple. Combine tart and sweet (such as an amount of sugar that would be irresponsible on a daily basis), and there it is.

As such, I'm less tempted to view this card as an Ace and more as The Fool. A traveler at the beginning of their journey filled with red hot ambition and cool blue determination. They are freshly hatched and excited to see what's out there, to the detriment of reason and caution.
