"powered by AI" is 100% *not* the marketing flex so many companies seem to think it is. Which begs the question: did they fire their marketing teams and replace them with AI? And side question: how much $ are they wasting on their trash LLM service they pass off as AI?

Loved WICKED FOR GOOD. The first film was a lot fun and had a knockout catharsis at the end, but I really dug the one from start to finish.

In fact, B&N has been expanding rather a bit recently; their sales are up and they've refreshed their stores. And independent books stores have been growing in numbers too! It's been quite a turnaround for brick and mortar bookstores in the last couple of years. I hope it lasts.
I'm more shocked they're still opening new B&Ns.

I'm glad the villain of the new Toy Story is a child's tablet. I hope the film conveys how screens eat up a child's hobbies, interests, literacy, ability to function socially. I hope it provokes millions of parents to think twice before making the iPad a babysitter.

"Empire of AI" by Karen Hao may be the most important and eye opening book I have ever read. I imagine it's what people felt when they read Sinclair's "The Jungle" when it was first published.
