Don’t know if it was just Arsenal making them look good, but that’s the best I’ve seen Man U play in a long time.

Damn, we looked bad today.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

Every time ICE kills someone, let it be a reminder that they do not have the power to govern the way they want.

Violence is the weakest and most unstable source of power. If the state is relying on violence, it’s a sign they can’t get power any other way.

“an individual body could never fill an empty stadium, but the music it produces might stand a chance.”

Hell yeah
UNBEATABLE’s approach to space and its discussion of absence left a major impression on me. It captures grief in a way that hit me like a fucking truck when I finished, esp. given a recent loss personally.

My latest, maybe most personal, piece @unwinnable.com:

This is one reason why Palestinian liberation is a global concern. The same technology used to oppress others in a different country is being used against United States residents in their own backyard, by the same companies. Until Palestine is free, no one is free.
Microsoft provides technology that upholds Israel’s apartheid and powers ICE’s deportation and detention infrastructure.

It’s strange to watch people express genuine, justified rage at ICE and then immediately fawn over Xbox reveals like Microsoft exists in a gamer vacuum

Just heard another news story focused on how the people of Denmark feel about Trump’s threat to invade Greenland. 89% of the population of Greenland is Indigenous and Inuit. Framing this as an attack on Europe is really missing the boat on how colonization works.

Really good analogy to a good way of playing animal crossing, down to the paradoxical difficulty of keeping it easy. Good stuff.
New blog: easy runs + animal crossing

It's paradoxical, but keeping things easy requires hard focus. I tried to bring an easy run mentality to Animal Crossing so I don't burn out on it again like in 2020.

I share this because protests, demonstrations, and activism are often messy and unsuccessful. Many may not end how people intend, especially depending on whom they're up against and the resources they have. But there's much to learn, even from failure, and failure can inform and grow a movement. /12

Dr. King did amazing things, but often we only talk about his successes. Dr. King also had some "failures", and they are important to discuss because we often learn a great deal from failure. And failure can inform or grow a movement, like Albany, Georgia's failure did for Dr. King. /1

I love when fighting game people post huge combos in training mode that climax in an animation of 1000 hands dragging a character through psychedelic hell and then the animation ends, there’s still like a quarter of health bar left on the character who got hit, and they nonchalantly stand back up
