I always felt that way, apart from looking forward to skiing. In the end, closed my practice, bought a hotel in Chamonix and spent 20 glorious winters there, woke up each morning to a view on Mont Blanc .. ski, sun, and snow .. what’s not to like? ☀️⛷️❄️
The problem is that, when they refer to being against “wealth and growth”, they mean ‘against wealth and growth of the already rich, using trickle down economy for the rest of us .. which we know doesn’t work.
Isn’t that what getting elected is all about …. looking to convince voters and supporters of other parties to vote for you instead? What an odd criticism!

No more shopping at the Gap.#BoycottTheGap
.. and before you know it, it will become the ‘Gold House’ covered in gold leaf, paid for through corruption and bribes (as well as taxpayers’ money) to match what will surely be a most ghastly, ostentatious ballroom 🤮

This is gone now. The East Wing lobby two years ago.
This is what it used to look like inside the lobby area.

WHO chief said 'no observable reduction of hunger in Gaza' since ceasefire

Dr Tedros said only 200 to 300 trucks were going in daily as opposed to the 600 trucks daily that had been agreed during the ceasefire.&nbsp;Israel has not been allowing the stipulated amount of aid to enter.</p> <p>Israel also did not allow enough humanitarian aid in during its war, leading to a famine across Gaza. Therefore, significant amounts of food are needed to address the situation.</p> <p>"Although the flow of aid has increased, it's still only a fraction of what's needed," Dr Tedros added.&nbsp;</p> <p>Dr Tedros also lamented Israel's assault on Gaza's healthcare system. "There are no fully functioning hospitals in Gaza, and only 14 out of 36 are functioning at all," Dr Tedros said. "There are critical shortages of essential medicines, equipment and health workers".</p> </div> </div> </article>

One of my favourite always listen-to podcasts .. as a keen music supporter involved in grassroots rock music scene just ordered James’ book #LoudMedicine “What's it really like to be in a band and just how bad is the music industry?”

Why is the UK still a major supplier of arms to Saudi Arabia, despite the devastating humanitarian crisis in Yemen, despite its human rights violations, & the assassination of the Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul?
