It’s been 1 year since a little orange fluffball climbed my leg in the parking lot at work. Since then Dandy has grown to be a part of Spike’s and my family. She’s also gained a bunch of aunts and uncles here and I hope has brought some joy into the world. Happy Gotcha Day Dandy!

Minor life update, my niblings’ school had a kettle corn fundraiser and I’m now roughly 5% kettle corn by volume. If there are any scientists who would like to study what a human/kettle corn hybrid species becomes, please reach out.

Dandy has found a new way of employing her ankle lock™️, keeping her head poking out from under the covers. I suspect this is so that she doesn’t have to look at her nemesis, the foot.

I’m not sure how universal this experience is, but if you’ve ever come home after curfew as a teenager, snuck in all silent like, just to be met by a parent turning the lights on and glaring at you with their arms crossed… Dandy sitting on the bike seat has mastered that look.

After shoveling the other day, I draped my coat and hoodie over my bike to dry out.
Dandy has now claimed them and possibly the bike as well.

After recent lapses in her guard duty, allowing me to go into the outside, Dandy has decided the best approach is to hold onto me directly. This is a big sacrifice for her since it requires being near her mortal enemy, my foot.
