I decided to try and draw something different for once. I decided on my mom's cat, who had been sitting beside me, not moving,for awhile. 🌎 Austral pygmy owl (Glaucidium nana) The austral pygmy owl is a small owl with gray-brown and red colour morphs. Both morphs have pale yellow eyes and "false eyes" on the nape. It is found in central and southern Chile and western Argentina, inhabiting diverse environments from city parks to dense forests. Primarily diurnal, it's a solitary "sit-and-wait" predator, preying on insects, birds, mammals, and reptiles, sometimes taking prey almost double its size. They typically nest in tree cavities. 2.5 Flash (Edited) No subspecies are recognised.
