My son didn't sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time maximum for the first eight months of his life. I was an complete mess. And no one could settle him but me.

...all the Hallowe'en decorations are up and I'm three weeks ahead of schedule on my current crochet blanket.

Apparently I CAN function on 5 hours sleep a night reasonably well!

...staying up late with them keeps them distracted and calms the anxiety a lot.

They draw or listen to music, I crochet or (the last two nights) potter around the house doing Stuff.

Younger Grublin has been suffering with a few intrusive thoughts recently. Nothing major, just the result of a bit of increased anxiety and rejection sensitivity (sadly, they get it from me). Always worse at night.
