@davevelociraptor.bsky.social @thisweekinretro.bsky.social Yep, the "crash" was felt very differently depending on your platform. C64 and Apple II users probably never felt a thing. A8 owners saw the 800XL selling well, but software support dried up when Jack Took Over and never came back.

It's awesome to hear some discussion about the differences between USA and UK. I still contend that had Irving Gould wanted to, he could have made the C64 a dominant platform in the living room and beaten the NES. C64 Tech > NES Tech
