In Japanese Generation I Pokemon games, the nickname screen has a の on it after its name.
When the games were translated to English they left the $C0-$DF region of the font tileset blank, but forgot to change the name screen code, so the $C9 の character still draws, but it's invisible.

i wonder if "i don't care how the creator of .gif pronounces it it's a hard g" people would get mad at me for pronouncing LaTeX how it's spelled
also TeX and LaTeX technically don't end with the same sound if you pronounce them 'properly' and that is absurd
