Giving Stoat a whirl, have had a barebones server on there but finally got around to having it basically set up like my current Discord (minus all the bot integrations of course)

Yeah unfortunately Guilded got bought out by Roblox, they *forced* users to log in with a Roblox Account, and it literally tanked the platform so hard they shut it down

I think I need to look into getting scheduled for bottom surgery
I've been leaning towards not doing it because I don't really have that flavor of dysphoria but I was working on a new ref sheet last night with an NSFW variant and hoo boy did that stir up some feelings I'm having trouble ignoring

It's just sad because Guilded genuinely was good competition to Discord up until Roblox got its hooks into it and absolutely killed any chance that platform had
There needs to be an Open Source alternative that can't just be bought out and destroyed but there's really nothing close yet

It still blows my mind folks haven't stopped the practice of keeping things exclusive to Discord servers after what happened to Guilded.
Discord is not any more immune to a hostile takeover resulting in folks being locked out of their accounts if they don't use some arbitrary platform.

All this is to say, when I see folks say "I don't have talent" or "I'll never get better" I absolutely understand the place they are coming from, as it's a place I've been a lot of my life, but you aren't stuck there, and you may be surprised at the potential you have if you allow yourself to "fail"

While I still would consider myself fairly amateur today (one of my goals this year is to finally actually work through DrawABox to work on my technique and consistency), overcoming that self-inflicted mental hurdle has allowed me to improve leaps and bounds over the last six years and stick to art

And the wildest part was, I suddenly had folks in chats telling me it was cute and good! It didn't make sense, it was so much worse than what others could do, how could it be good? But it eventually clicked with me that my art, as basic as it was, could have merit, and that really inspired me

And I have to say, even with all its problems, seeing it as an actual emote I could use made me so happy, I used it maybe too much back then lol
