This is not just rogue members of the Young Republicans. This is a major if not majority wing of them. Rarely mentioned: Charlie Kirk encouraged these exact racist sentiments.
Trump has benefited from the commodity they sell, but that commodity is the "news"/entertainment they produce on TV. That is the source of their profits, and if they agreed to Hegseth's demand it would lessen the value of that commodity, thereby reducing their profit.
It's not that Fox thinks Trump has gone too far; it's simply that like any company Fox has a commodity to sell and they won't see it devalued to the point that it cuts into that commodity's value and therefore their profit.
