I've had to block/mute so many people for their constant bad-faith readings of media that contain even the tiniest hint of perversion, especially in the anime/manga sphere. I'm sorry but I just Do Not think that drawing sexy characters is the same as disrespecting *real* people, regardless of gender
The thing is like if we want to fight back against prudery and sex negativity we also have to stop referring to stuff as 'gooner art' and accept that nsfw shit that reads as 'for the male gaze' has as much a right to exist as your favourite yaoi
