It is worth mentioning that Fung-wong (Uwan) is and will be an unusually large system. Hazardous conditions will extend far from the point of landfall. The forecast graphic from JTWC does a good job illustrating this, with its blue shaded Tropical storm wind danger area. CWA has a graphic for this.

Today is the 12th year anniversary of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan)'s landfall in the Philippines. Also today is when Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) enters PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) and has a higher chance of becoming a Super Typhoon later tonight. Pls stay safe!
