Did you know that a planet was discovered from a tiny back garden right here in Bath? William Herschel discovered the planet Uranus on March 13, 1781 using a homemade telescope. He initially thought it was a comet!

For over 80 years the Met's Special Branch called in explosives #specialist s like Vivian Majendie to defuse bombs planted in London rather than doing it themselves. In 1971 this changed when the Met set up its own Bomb Squad to counter the anarchist Angry Brigade campaign. #Museum30 #CM150

Been to the cinema to see #Palestine36. When the film ended everyone sat in shocked silence. No one got up to leave, not a word was spoken, we all sat there watching the credits whilst trying to process what we had just seen.
