I can second this for my own work but I know other devs who, before the AI slop wave began, could barely talk about their cast if not in a story rich approach/genre. As for #ElemensionalRift , I can warn people of "how deep do you want to go?" since I've got a trilogy of trilogies planned.

The best way journalists can support indie games is to cover more than whatever the current indie hits/darlings of the moment are. Games like Hades, Blue Prince, and Silksong do not need help with visibility, but discoverability is the biggest challenge facing many indie devs today.
