2:45am, new time

Oh no. That’s the wrong direction to do this in.
Starting over with exercise again post-shingles. I am forgiving my body. I am loving my body. My body is doing the things. More affirmation here.
What’s that feeling called where you’re overwhelmed with the unknowable minds of unfathomable number of humans, humans you may never meet or interact with, but who have thoughts and feelings and hopes and rage that you cannot and will not ever know? Asking for a friend.
It’s supremely 40 years old of me but I kind of want to compare and contrast the new Hayley Williams with the new Lily Allen, but good golly I don’t want to listen to Lily’s again.
I love listening to a podcast kind of hate a movie but when they’re describing it I’m like, still very fucking on board.
Everything is awful and bad but we’re house shopping? And the idea of having a single household base against this chaos is really giving me life. (That and MOVIES!)
Both is totally what I’m afraid of lmao riiiiiip love you buddy
SLIFF, @arkadincinema.bsky.social ‘s November calendar, plus Frankenstein and Bugonia… we’re eating GOOD this November
Oh my dearest!!!! I’m in a similar headspace and it’s so hard to determine if it’s the truth (nothing there) or if there’s just a fuckton of mental shit… or are those the same thing?
Still thinking about this. The same teacher also said our (mostly NT) F was the only kid who treated the disabled kids as peers/playmates. Jesus.
This morning E was a little baby buzzy bee, jamming out to its playlist of Kiffness and Josh Pyke. What a sweet little bug.
Awake. Fuck. I had iced tea well after noon. A mistake was made.
Parent teacher conferences were last night and a phrase is sticking with me. In encouraging us, doing such a great job, etc., the special classroom teacher said “it’s clear your children are so loved” and, whoa, that hit me like a gut punch. That’s something you need to call out? Other kids aren’t?
Is there a cute costume I could pull together to earn some friendly social clout in the office? Asking for… a friend.

“Walmart was the top employer of SNAP recipients in five states and one of the top four employers in the remaining four states. McDonald’s was among the top five employers of Medicaid enrollees in five of six states and SNAP recipients in eight of nine states.”

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

I made a wishlist for my birthday (Nov 8) and I guess general holidays after all: www.amazon.es/hz/wishlist/... I obviously don't expect anyone to buy me a PS5 (or anything), but if you want to contribute to me buying it, my paypal is battlesinthemorning at gmail. Thank you. <3
Listening to August Ponthier and sitting in queer joy at their new name showing up on my screen.
I love August Ponthier’s new song, Betty. Queer joy!!

Thank you. I may just!
E finally started her new med. I hope it works. We’re desperate. But also, I feel horrible that she needs it.

We have three other kids to “prove” that we aren’t shit parents.

But I worry that we’re shit.
