Michael Mann leaning into AI here would be an unfortunate, devastating, blow to HEAT 2. If you want to look at a sequel with a similar past/present/future angle, look no further than GODFATHER II which pulled off various ages, over decades, with just makeup and good actors.

One reason why No Kings might have a large crowd? It’s vague and doesn’t actually call for anything specific, which makes it easier for the more squeamish middle to upper middle class folks to show up. You’re effectively showing up to a park to hang out.
