This is why, if you're wanting to do comics, it's far more important to practice drawing comics than it is to practice drawing. The drawing comes with time and you get the time by getting opportunities to make comics, you get those opportunities by demonstrating storytelling.

A lot of people draw well. Who cares? Storytelling is the hook for old pros. Drawing gets better the more you do it, an understanding of storytelling (pacing, compositional choices, directional reading, etc) is frequently more intuitive and suggests potential in a way that a drawing can't.

It’s been a slow day & I had some tedious work to do, so I’ve been listening to Fishmans all morning.
I kept zoning out & imagining I was in a club watching an amazing band made up of robots fronted by a muppet that was sorta Georgia Hubley by way of Justine Frischmann.
