I needed a good travel knitting project, and wanted to make another #musselburghHat anyways, but didn't have the perfect skein for it. So I dyed one, leftover from some long forgotten project about 10 years ago, SW merino/cashmere/nylon 80/10/10.

I'm dreaming of next planting season already. I'm particularly excited to grow tiny melons, if the weather plays ball. If we've got to put up with global warming we can at least make the best of it?

The first of my five kabocha squash is off the vine, and into the pan. It’s very good in this stir fry following a #justonecookbook recipe, only I had to sub beef for pork mince because that’s what I had.

Interesting - for me, it's the other way round. I don't like the look of barber-poled skeins, but I often like the fabric they make. However, using a long colour repeat can have all sorts of issues, such as the stripes changing when the width of the fabric changes.
