I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

I love teaching Greek mythology, and one of my favorite things since I was a grad school teaching assistant at UCSB has been charting out the causes of the Trojan War (which I got to do in a very condensed version the other day). It all starts with a swan and an apple... 🦢🍎

Events progress inward from those until they meet at the middle with Paris taking Helen from Menelaus and war breaking out!

In my 11 year old son's friend group is a young person who has been figuring stuff out, and it's been so inspiring to see the kids support him and easily maneuver through pronoun changes, even gently instructing and correcting others who misgender him. There is hope in future generations!
