Check it out:

Our Communications Team made an amazing video about the Quadra Island Bioblitz that we ran last year.

It’s a really nice overview of how and why we do bioblitzes...

It's been hard for early career biologists looking for postdocs, so I created a Google Sheet where we can all compile fellowships/job boards/postdoc opportunities in one place. PLEASE SHARE WIDELY! If you're a PI looking for postdocs, you can add to the 4th tab! docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Heat exposure on Western Australian coral reefs is literally off the charts.

24 Degree Heating Weeks now at Ningaloo - the highest ever recorded.

6-8 DHW is lethal for most branching corals.

>20 is catastrophic.

Lucky to live on the other side of the border - this is just nuts. So much work of pationate scientists going downhill, funding cuts and layoffs in so many departments and agencies all around the country... We need science!

Check out my new pre-print about a novel #kelp disease!

This research includes a kelp-grower survey (still live). 57% of respondents have seen pink-spot disease on their spools. One bacteria is associated with pink spots, a target for future research.
