@jonfavs.bsky.social listening to PSA discussion of shadowy surveillance of "antifa" reminds me more of 1970s #cointelpro than the McCarthy witch-hunts, although both were red scares. #cointelpro did target specific organizations, #blackpanthers #SDS and placed *agents provocateurs* everywhere

The CONTEMPT with which these cabinet officials hold Congress is breathtaking, and infuriating. These are the Representatives of the PEOPLE. Disrespect Congress, disrespect the voter. That would be me. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but the smears and name-calling get to me

2/ Unlike the activities of the current AG office who fabricate crimes where none exist (actual "weaponization" if you like that terminology), it's not weaponizing if crimes were indeed committed

I would remind the AG that Sen Schiff was acting in the interest of the PEOPLE whose Representative he was/is when he led the investigation into high crimes and misdemeanors committed in the first term of Pres DJT. DJT has actually done wrong, even if he got away with it.
