Present Percy looks lovingly at an off-screen Knell. Past Percy looks at him with a disgusted and baffled expression.

Part 2:
Past Percy turns to Present Percy, yelling, “He ate a cave crab raw!”
Present Percy, annoyed, corrects him, “It’s ‘Shell Spider’.”
In an aside he mutters, “Was I always this loud?”

#TraitorandtheWretch It’s here! It’s finally here!

The conceit of novel came from the idea of what would happen if the two minor bad guys from any other fantasy story came together.

Congratulations to @mythjae.bsky.social on the successful book launch!

Knell and Percy drawn to be the traditional bad guys they were meant to embody in a more abstract style.

Knell is shrouded in darkness with a pale, outstretched hand, mouth open in a silent shriek.

Percy is hunched, enshrouded in Knell’s cloak, wielding a long, white dagger.

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
