As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

To pique your interest: This film depicts the story of famous union activist A. Philip Randolph and the unionization of the black porters of Pullman Rail Company during the 1920’s. A story that is important to the history of organized labor, and stands to inspire us today as we keep fighting!

We stand against attacks on our queer colleagues. We stand firm against incoming attacks on organized labor, on the right to protest, and our local community.

We stand up for the most vulnerable among us, we fight to protect diversity at our school, and we will win justice and dignity for all. 2/3

With the inauguration of the Trump administration occurring only two days ago, we are compelled by our values to make a statement:

We stand against attacks on our immigrant colleagues, regardless of documentation. We stand against unconstitutional attacks on birthright citizenship. 1/3 🧵

Nonetheless, on behalf of the elections committee: Thank you for showing up on such short notice. A turnout of 69% is very nice, better than most federal elections! The elections committee & bargaining committee couldn't have done it without you, the rank-and-file members who keep NMSU running.🩵 4/5

With this new contract won, there's also the issue of holding NMSU to the terms they just agreed to. We're going to need your help to succeed in both of these endeavors!

Members run this union, so get involved, and bring your coworkers!

While this is a win, we've still got a lot of work to do, and a lot of room to grow as a union. At roughly 175 members, we're doing well, but are a ways away from majority. Not to mention, there are departments we don't have a single member in! 2/5

GWU members:

You voted UNANIMOUSLY to approve the tentative agreement reached by the bargaining committee! We have a new contract!! 🎉
