There were a lot of bad propositions in Texas. Lots of Dem lawmakers voted to put them on the ballot knowimg they would likely pass.
How likely are they to be gerrymandered?
"But we're still voting for Trump in 2028!!"
They still believe deficits are bad.
GOP can open it anytime they want.
What's wrong with trying to use less plastic bags? Weird fixations.
Even Dick Cheney knew:
"In our nation's 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump."
Pretty sure GWB never said wind turbines cause cancer. Pretty sure the movement has been on the right into crazy land territory.
I'm sure they would want SNAP to continue and their products to be eligible, just saying they probably are still selling to Walmart (or wherever) at full price and Walmart is marking down the discount and taking the loss (or would be if the USDA would let them).

If you want training/credentials in #MMT and ecological economics on a course you can take part-time and online, with live classes with experts, ours begin every February, June and September, and are endorsed by Stephanie Kelton and many other leading economists.

I still suspect our fascism will be more Putinlike (still horrible) or Orbanlike. Haven't read enough to know how well thet appease the masses.
Also, the fossil fuel billionaires $$ drives RW culture wars. You cut off FF power, you cut the power to the GOP. So many reasons to push clean energy it's insane not to talk about it.
Also, everyone keeps saying they hate immigrants, but keep dialing up the thermometer and you get more and more people fleeing droughts, floods and the like. Yeah, horrible Dem messaging about climate when it literally infects every other debate...

The fact that climate-friendly energy is also the best, cheapest way to serve our economic goals is incredibly good news, and a potent political message, but it would probably work better if the most prominent Dem pundits weren't laboring with decades-old CW.
That's what I don't get. Trump's fascism would be much more effective if they didn't actually screw over their own voters...scary proposition if they ever figure it out.
?? I don't understand why Conagra is controlling WalMart (or whoever)? What do they care? Wouldn't there be more sales with discounts to SNAP people?

I just don't call those people Christian or conservative because of what I said earlier. They don't follow Christ and they don't conserve.
What is 'assessment'? Could this backfire by making European countries more dependent on Russian or American oil and gas? Two rising kleptocracies who have little to no monitoring of methane emissions, for example?

Holy shit. Friends, here is a panel on the question "why don't Americans trust the media?'

I scrolled ... scrolled ... increasingly amazed ... scrolled ...

Nope. No one so much as *mentions* the 6-decade, billionaire-funded campaign by the right to destroy trust in media! Not even in passing!

If you go to the website for Trump’s interagency DC Task Force—the personal Trump army designed to facilitate a *successful* January 6-style self-coup in 2029—this is its logo, I shit you not:

Another politician who believes in {checks notes} nothing—just what New Jersey needs

If only an election were coming up in which New Jersey voters could send a message to—I don't know, at least someone *like* Jack Ciattarelli—to the effect that Americans are sick of politicians with no core beliefs
Jack Ciattarelli previously said January 6th rioters should NOT be pardoned by Trump.

Now he defends Trump’s pardons.
