Let’s not forget Jacques Tourneur’s I Walked with a Zombie or Victor Halperin’s White Zombie, though.
Totes agree. One of my favourite Hammer films and right up there with The Devil Rides Out. Two years before Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and a clear influence. The way Morell growls “Zombie” in the graveyard sequence still sends shivers down my spine.
I’m all over this like a rash. I’ve seen her perform but never met her. Colour me viridian, dude.

Heads up, Film Fans! A new series of #ClassicMovies starts tonight at 7.00pm on #SkyArts with the usual gang discussing Hitchcock’s drop dead masterpiece, #TheThirtyNineSteps. Author John Buchan thought it was better than his novel. #DiscoveringDianeKeaton follows at 8.00pm.

Have you seen Deranged? Roberts Blossom’s finest hour.
I’ve been banging on about Strange Days since I first saw and reviewed it. I’ve never understood why it wasn’t hailed as the magisterial futurist noir it undoubtedly is.

MT lawmakers are suing to make it easier to kill wolves. Yes- you read that right.

Once again, wolves are being treated as targets instead of the vital, intelligent keystone species they are. Science and ethics must guide management. Wolves deserve better.

The latest Hamlet at The National Theatre with Hiran Abeysekera has much to like but doesn't quite work.
Latest version of The Importance of Being Earnest with Stephen Fry is both arrogant and direspectful to Oscar Wilde.

Got to see #DeafRepublic at the Dublin Theatre Festival and it burned a memory into my brain that I’ll fondly remember for the emotion that it evoked. Oh I cried tears. It was sublime ❤️
So here’s today’s theatre column. Sloane, Dracula, Bacchae. Cor.
Yes, but overheard where? Asking for a fiend.
Sharon Small leads an excellent cast in a bold but banal Bacchae for the National Theatre's brand new Artistic Director's debut show.
Me too. How bad can it be?
Gonna get me a hat that’s says: “WAITING FOR NEO”.
