8a. In the region of Hunter's Cove, paranormal things occur more frequently than elsewhere in the continent with the exception of Lukas' Step. IRL, cove forests can be creepy. The hills are incredibly steep with narrow pathways, making the canopied forest feel incredibly claustrophobic.

Spookiest decoration at the "Zoo Goes Boo" event at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids? Giant model of parasitoid wasps hatching from cocoons affixed to their caterpillar host.

7. There are 5 regions of Blackwick. The Wick Confederacy, The Country, Hunter's Cove, Slate Bay, and Lukas' Step.

The biomes of 60% of Blackwick are homogeneous, being autumnal woodlands, with the exception of Lukas' Step and Slate Bay being an Eldritch forest and a coastal area respectively.

5. Time is asynchronous in Blackwick, with the days and nights not corresponding with each other. They can last for full days or even weeks, with the longest recorded sunlight lasting 25 days, and the longest moonrise lasting 19.
